Cuts In Beef Prices Described As "Cynical & Un-Justified" By IFA

The government are due to appoint a food ombudsman which they hope will help.

The Irish Farmers Association is describing recent cuts in beef prices as cynical and un-justified. 

Payments are steady in the last seven days but have been fluctuating by between five and ten cent per kilogram in Ireland.

Meanwhile in the UK beef prices have risen by three cent per kilo in the last week. 

Westmeath IFA Chairperson Bernie McCarthy is hopeful the appointment of a food ombudsman will help:
