Two separate drones have been intercepted headed for Portlaoise and Midlands Prison.
Gardai have seized drones delivering drugs and phones into both the Portlaoise and Midlands Prison.
The Divisional Drugs Unit and Detective Unit supported Gardai in the discovery of the device on Monday.
A person allegedly controlling the drone has been arrested and charged before the courts.
A second drone was also intercepted yesterday with further contraband.
Gardai are encouraging people to keep reporting any suspicious drone actvity in areas near the prison complex.
