The Good Shepherd centre will have a hands-on approach working with community services.
A homeless services organisation is establishing a new Regional Support Centre in the Midlands.
The Good Shepherd centre was founded in Kilkenny in the 1980's and supports both homeless people and those at risk of homelessness.
It's now expanding its services across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath with the support of Government funding.
The centre will also work alongside local authorites and community based services across the midlands in addiction and mental health.
