Longford-Westmeath TD Calls For Changes In ADHD policies

5 new teams were funded in 2025 and are recruiting.

A Longford-Westmeath TD wants a change in ADHD policies. 

Sinn Fein's Sorca Clarke is questioning how the health service is dealing with gaps in adult assessments for the condition.

Mental Health Minister Mary Butler says 5 new teams were funded in 2025 with recruitment continuing despite hopes they would be active by the end of last year.

However Sinn Féin’s spokesperson on Mental Health says there's people living in distressing conditions due to undiagnosis:
