It's for 41 new homes in Rochfortbridge.
The future face of a Westmeath village could be set for a dramatic change.
Plans for 41 new homes in Rochfortbridge have been lodged by Strongly Ltd, as the village remains at the centre of a dispute over a proposed €1 billion data centre and solar farm development.
The housing proposal is for the outskirts of the village and includes 36 three-bedroom homes, five four-bedroom homes, parking spaces, and new vehicle, pedestrian, and cycle access to Castlelost Road.
Red Admiral DC Ltd's application for the data centre is currently under appeal to An Coimisiún Pleanála following objections from local residents and environmental campaigners.
A decision on the housing development is due on August 20th.
