Midlands GP Provides Update For Those Who've Received First Dose Of AstraZeneca

Health authorities have recommended the jab only be administered to people over 60.

The administration of the second AstraZeneca vaccine to those aged under 60, who have no underlying conditions is to be delayed.

President of the Irish Medical Organisation, Dr. Pádraig McGarry says the risks associated with the vaccine are lower than the risk from covid for people over 60 and people with underlying conditions - and the roll-out will continue as scheduled.

But the Longford GP says the situation for other people who are under 60 and already received their first dose is being reconsidered:
