A Midlands MEP says it should take longer than two years for Brazilian beef to return fully to the EU market.
The European Commission's Director of Health and Food Audits and Analysis is confirming it will take a minimum of two years for Brazil to able to demonstrate compliance and resume selling beef to Europe.
It comes after the sale of Brazilian beef was banned in EU after the presence of antibiotics was detected.
