Campaigners, who fought against the downgrading of services at Portlaoise Regional Hospital, will be standing in solidarity with their counterparts in Navan this weekend.
Crowds are expected to gather at Our Lady's Hospital in Meath tomorrow afternoon, in protest against the proposed axing of the A&E Department for a GP-referred medical assessment unit.
Portlaoise Hospital Action Committee will be attending following its own experience locally.
