Residents in Ferbane have been making complaints to a local TD.
Concerns are being raised following the re-organising of community healthcare services in the midlands.
Service users in Ferbane had been receiving support from Birr and Tullamore Primary Care, but that's now been shifted to Athlone Primary Care.
Laois Offaly Independent TD Carol Nolan says this has had a "negative impact" on residents in Ferbane.
She says the point of community healthcare services was to enable decisions to be made closer to the point of care, but that isn't what's happening:
