Jack Carty and Fergal Hynes are looking to build a new padel court centre.
Planning Permission is being granted to a former Irish Rugby player to install an indoor sports and leisure centre in the Midlands.
Jack Carty, who made his final home appearance for Connacht at the weekend, is planning to transform the former Fastway Couriers premises in Mullingar into a state-of-the-art padel court centre.
Alongside Fergal Hynes, the pair want to repurpose the premises from light industrial use into a recreational and leisure facility.
The development includes signage, revisions to the existing car parking, and the addition of bicycle parking.
Westmeath County Council granted approval subject to three conditions.
