That's according to Independent TD Denis Naughten, after an announcement by the Department of Education.
School buses will carry the same number of students as normal - but children over 13 will have to wear masks and kids will be given designated seats.
Deputy Naughten says operators outside Bus Éireann's remit aren't being given proper guidance:
