188 people in the midlands were registered as homeless last month.
The Simon Community is calling for emergency funding to tackle rising homeless rates in the Budget.
It follows the latest homelessness report from the Department of Housing, which found 188 people accessed emergency accommodation in the midlands last month.
Nationally, 14,486 people were recorded as being homeless in August.
The charity is asking the Government to increase funding for social housing, increase the housing assistance scheme and double 2023's funding for homeless prevention.
