Three Offaly Projects To Benefit From Increase Property Tax

Three projects are set to receive the extra revenue from the increase in Offaly's local property tax.

The tax was raised last autumn by 15%, generating a further €750,000 for the local authority.

County councillors have agreed they want to ringfence the money for specific developments, so people can see exactly where the money is going.

The Birr Destination Town project, the new link road in Edenderry, and the Tullamore street enhancement scheme have been chosen this week to receive the funding.
