A Danish observational study has revealed that people who had received oestrogen-progestin therapy had a 24% increased rate of developing dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Doctor at Ceile Medical in Athlone, Deirdre Forde is saying that the observational study isn't rigorous enough to establish cause and effect.
She says the threshold for reaching a conclusion on the issue is much higher than this specific study's methodology:
