The local authority is also increasing the Commercial Rates Grant Scheme.
Westmeath County Council is set to increase its commercial rates for 2026 by t0%.
The local authority says the increase is necessary to build up the county's infrastructure and services.
Against that, the Commercial Rates Grant Scheme is being increased from 6 to 15% with the maximum grant available going from €300, up to €825.
Business with a annual rates bill of under €5,500 are eligible to apply.
