A new Festival and Event Coordinator is joining the Athlone Chamber of Commerce
Athlone Emily O'Callaghan joins Athlone Chamber following her recent graduation from ATU Galway, where she earned a Level 8 Degree in Events Management with Public Relations.
The role, funded by the Westmeath County Council, is set to enhance Athlone’s festival and events calendar and strengthening community engagement.
Speaking about her appointment, Emily said “I’m really looking forward to connecting with the community, working with volunteers, and businesses, and bringing people together through fun and engaging events. I’m especially excited to explore fresh ideas and help shape events that truly fit Athlone”
Athlone Chamber President Regina Bushell commented “This appointment reflects Athlone’s growing confidence as a vibrant regional hub. With Emily on board, our festivals and events will continue to grow, evolve, and go from strength to strength.”
Chamber CEO, Tommy Hogan added “Emily’s role will give local committees the support they need to plan with confidence and deliver events that bring real energy to the town.”
