Gardaí arrived at the school at 11.15am and left at 12.41pm.
Irish Independent journalist, Conor Feehan, was at the school this morning.
Mr. Burke was taken to Mullingar Garda Station and was subsequently released and a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Following his release, he returned to the school grounds this afternoon.
He was seen being driven away shortly after 4pm.
