Enterprise Minister Targets Tourism Growth In The Midlands

Peter Burke is promising more work for the tourism industry in 2026.

The Enterprise Minister is aiming to attract more tourism to the midlands this year. 

A new plan for tourism, launched by the government labelled 'A New Era for Irish Tourism' policy includes a section dedicated to EU Just Transition Fund projects in Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath.

Tourism Minister and Longford-Westmeath TD Peter Burke believes luring tourists into a less mature market is key. 

He says the midlands has lots to offer:
