Three Councillors have so far put their name forward for the party nomination for the General Election.
Fianna Fáil could be pushing for two seats in Offaly in the General Election, according to the party leader.
Sitting Councillors Eddie Fitzpatrick, Tony McCormack, Claire Murray and Peter Ormond have so far put their names forward for the party nomination at a selection convention in the Tullamore Court Hotel next Monday.
Fianna Fáil's seat in Offaly has been held for over 50 years by the Cowen family, but was given up when Barry Cowen was elected as an MEP earlier this year.
