The Government is considering making helmet use compulsory for e-scooter riders.
It comes as almost half of people hospitalised after e-scooter crashes require intensive care, according to a new RCPI report.
The report shows a sharp rise in children admitted with traumatic brain injuries, with e-scooters now the leading cause at Temple Street’s neurosurgical centre.
