It's after a deer was struck this morning just before 9:30am on the Abbeyleix to Durrow Road.
Gardaí have confirmed the animal is unharmed and is roaming free around the Killamuck area.
They've also said a high number of deer have been near the road in recent days and that emergency services were contacted.
