The Irish Road Haulage Association wants youths throwing stones at trucks on the motorway charged for attempted murder.
It comes after a number of vehicles had their windscreens smashed after being hit by stones along the M7 in Tipperary on Wednesday evening.
A total of 12 trucks, and one coach sustained damage from the incident.
