Gardaí are investigating an assault in the midlands.
A man in his 30s was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore after the incident, which occurred on Main Street in Banagher at around 2.10 yesterday morning.
It's believed his injures are non-life threatening.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident, particularly those with camera or dashcam footage, to come forward.
