It comes in the latest round of the Community Centre Investment Fund.
Over €2m has been allocated to community centres across the Midlands in the latest round of the Community Centre Investment Fund.
€783,172 euro goes to 11 community centres across Laois - with Clonaslee, Killeshin and Mountmellick all getting the maximum grant of €100,000 euro each.
While 10 centers in Westmeath will be funded to the tune of €750,000 - with Ballinahown Community Centre getting the top funds.
And in Offaly, 8 projects will be funded with Mucklagh set to receive €100,000 for fire safety improvements and soundproofing the sports hall.
The government scheme grants are for necessary works such as renovations and enhancing existing amenities.
