The Independent rep believes midlands counties are being under resourced on garda numbers.
Garda forces in the midlands are under-resourced due to a lack of officers, according to a local TD.
Denis Naughten claims while there are more Gardaí going through Templemore, they're not being deployed to rural counties like Laois, Offaly or Westmeath.
His comments follow the publication of an Irish Examiner/ IPSOS poll, which found seven in ten people living in rural Ireland don't believe there's a visible Garda presence in their areas.
