Midlands Road Project To Receive Long-Awaited Funding

A long-awaited upgrade to a midlands road is due to receive funding this year.

Investment for the N4 Mullingar to Roosky project was pulled in 2022 due to pressures in Capital funding, and the route has been subject to an on-going campaign to have that money re-instated since.

It's due to be part of Transport Infrastructure Ireland's road announcements for 2024, with an investment of €2 million expected.

But Fine Gael Senator Micheál Carrigy says he's not sure if that will be enough:
