A new report has found there are zero HAP properties available to rent in the midlands' two biggest towns.
The Simon Communities' quarterly Locked Out reports examine the experience of people on a low income, dependent on Housing Assistance Payments to access housing in the private rental market.
The latest data shows no homes were available to rent within standard or discretionary HAP limits in Athlone or Portlaoise last month.
