A walk is being held this evening in her memory.
A community walk is being held in Westmeath this evening to mark the anniversary of the murder of Mary Walker.
The walk, which is taking place at the Royal Canal in Mullingar, is remembering the former postal worker, who was murdered along the banks of the Royal Canal while making her way home in July 1909.
The gathering is set to begin at 7pm from the Canal entrance opposite the train station.
Organisers will also highlight a proposal to install a commemorative bench at the site.
