Fine Gael rep for Offaly John Clendennen spent €33,000 of his own expenses on his campaign.
Successful general election candidates spent an average of €20,000 to secure a Dail seat last year.
At least €9.2 million was spent in electoral expenses in General Election 2024.
Offaly's John Clendennen was one of the biggest spenders, parting with €33,000 of his own money.
While Fine Gael topped that spend up with a €1,700 spend.
Ruth Coppinger topped the list - her successful campaign cost €46,000 overall with her party People Before Profit contributing over half of the total.
