Westmeath Gardai collected over a million euro in fines from their speeding vans alone since 2023.
Figures released to Ireland South MEP Cynthia Ní Mhúrchú shows €1,742,000 was collected from fines.
In Offaly the figure was €677,680 while in Laois that total was €435,440.
Nationally, Gardaí collected €32 million in fees using speed cameras over the past two and a half years.
However, it cost €44 million to use private speed camera operators in that time.
