It comes after the gardaí were forced to close off a midlands amenity over the weekend.
Proper parking infrastructure must be installed at amenities before they reopen.
That's the view of Laois councillor James Kelly following parking issues at Glenbarrow in the Slieve Blooms over the weekend.
Gardaí closed the area off to the public amid fears that emergency services would be unable to access the area if needed.
The independent rep says the issue will only continue unless something is done now:
