The IFA has launched this year's 'No Dogs Allowed' campaign to ban dogs on farmland.
The IFA President says a reporting system should be in place in local authorities for dog attacks on farmland.
The association has launched this year's 'No Dogs Allowed' campaign at the start of lambing season ,calling for a complete ban of dogs on public land.
It also calls for a national microchipping database of all dogs, greater powers to be afforded to Gardaí in case of attacks, and on the spot fines for dog owners.
Ballinakill's Francie Gorman is the President of the IFA and experienced a dog attack firsthand on his farm 12 years ago, which killed 39 of his lambs in the space of a weekend.
