Support The Bees For 'No Mow May' - Offaly County Council

The initiative is intended to enhance bee nutrition and nesting.

"Support Our Bees" is the message for this years No Mow May.

It conserves bee habitats by letting natural vegetation grow, aiding bee nutrition, nesting, biodiversity, and reducing chemical exposure.

No Mow May is an annual campaign started by Plantlife in the UK, asking everyone to put away the lawnmower during the month of May to help our native wildlife.

Offaly County Council's Biodiversity Officer, Ricky Whelan says it's not a healthy environment if you don't see wildlife in your town:
