Over 2,500 people in the midlands live with Epilepsy.
Epilepsy Ireland is urging people to be clear on Seizure First Aid on International Epilepsy Day.
An estimated 870 people are living with epilepsy in Laois, 910 in Westmeath and in Offaly the number is 785.
The organisation's key words of Time, Safe and Stay, advise people on how to correctly respond to a seizure.
The first thing you should do is time the seizure, keep the person safe during the seizure and stay with the person during the seizure and after it passes.
