Tipperary County Council could prove crucial for Gareth Sheridan as it decides whether or not to nominate someone to run for President this morning.
A number of Presidential hopefuls are currently making their pitches to councillors.
Independent TD Michael Lowry's team of five Tipperary councillors have indicated they will not block any nominations.
The situation is very different in Westmeath where Fianna Fail and Fine Gael councillors are expected to vote down any candidates on Monday.
