41 women are running in the midlands in this year's Local Elections.
A Westmeath Local Electoral Area is one of only two in the country without a woman declared on the ballot paper.
There are eight candidates in the running in Moate in next month's Local Elections, however all of them are men.
An analysis of the declared candidates by Laois' Adrian Kavanagh has found it joins An Daingean in Kerry as the only other Local Electoral Area which doesn't feature a woman on the ballot paper.
There are 41 declared female candidates in the midlands ahead of the June 7th Elections.
