Community led projects across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath will receive the funding.
Just under €6m is being granted to midlands projects from the EU Just Transition Fund.
In Offaly, the transformation of the vacant Dalton centre in Shannonbridge is being funded to the tune of €1m.
While the Kilcormac Development Association is getting €230,000 to set up a new tourist office.
While in Laois there's just under a million euro being granted to Laois County Council to upgrade the former Avon site on the Canal Road in Portarlington into a business park.
The rest of the funding is going towards training courses, development projects, and refurbishments in Longford, Ballinasloe, and Athy.
