A lack of infrastructure and services is being cited as the main reason for renewed opposition to a major housing development in the midlands.
The developers behind a proposed 349 houses and apartments in the Clonminch area of Tullamore are applying for planning permission again, after the original proposals were rejected by An Bord Pleanála.
The application is being considered by An Bord Pleanála as a Strategic Housing Development, as it contains over 100 homes.
Councillors renewed their unanimous opposition to the development at a meeting of Tullamore Municipal District this week.
