Fire services are still at the scene of the blaze.
A midlands recycling plant is "completely gutted" after a fire broke out at the facility last night.
Emergency services, including units from Tullamore, Clara, and Kilbeggan, tackled the blaze at the Bord Na Mona Recycling Centre in Cappincur, from 9pm until 6am.
It's believed extensive damage has been done to the building.
A fire brigade from Ferbane Fire Station remains at the scene to monitor the plant in case materials take alight again.
Tullamore Councillor Declan Harvey says the damage is terminal:
Bord Na Mona says its investigating a fire at its plant in Offaly.
In a statement to Midlands 103, it says its facility will remain closed while the damage is assessed.
No injuries were reported, and it says all employees are safe.
Waste collection services in the area will continue as usual and they are advising customers to leave their bins out as normal.
