The High Court is ordering the salary be paid to Wilson's Hospital School.
The High Court has directed that Enoch Burke’s salary be paid to Wilson’s Hospital School until his debt for trespassing on school grounds has been paid off.
Mr Burke is currently in Mountjoy Prison for refusing to obey a court order refraining him from attending at the school.
Since his suspension from the school in August 2022, Enoch Burke has continued to receive his teaching salary.
And despite his dismissal for gross misconduct the following May, he’s still being paid and will continue to be paid until he has exhausted all avenues of appeal.
For his prolonged defiance of a court order to stay away from the school, Enoch Burke has clocked up over €225,000 fines and over 500 days in prison.
A judgement of €15,000 was previously made against him for trespass and today, the High Court directed that his salary be used to pay that back to the school.
Due to his recent incarceration, the judge decided not to order the temporary seizure of two cars used by Mr Burke to commit breaches of the court order.
