The organisation recently held its first Deer Hunter Information Forest Walk.
FRS Co-Op is urging hunters and landowners to help shape Ireland’s new Deer Management Programme, describing it as a 'golden opportunity' for the sector.
The appeal comes following the organisation’s first Deer Hunter Information Forest Walk in Kinnitty, Offaly.
Experts from UCD, Maynooth University, Pro Silva and the Native Woodlands Trust joined speakers in discussing sustainable deer management.
The event also coincided with the arrival of five cold storage larders for deer carcasses, which are being installed at designated Deer Management Units nationwide.
