President of Athlone Chamber of Commerce, Alan Shaw, says they're hopeful of more expansion in the future:
IDA job growth in the midlands is welcome, but investment in Laois is still lagging behind.
They're the words of Laois Chamber of Commerce CEO, Caroline Hoffman, in response to an 11 percent growth in the number of people employed by IDA client companies in the region this year.
Laois accounts for just 2.2 percent of IDA-supported jobs in the midlands.
Ms. Hoffman says Laois is an attractive county for employment, but investment is not reflecting that:
