The three-year course, which is backed by The Vintners' Federation, Griffith College and Solas, aims to tackle the staffing shortage currently facing the hospitality industry.
Employers can sponsor staff members to take part in the course, while school leavers with experience in the bar trade are also eligible.
Successful applicants must attend lectures once a week over the duration of the three years.
