There's been another increase nationally, however.
There's been a very marginal decrease in the midlands homelessness figures.
179 people accessed emergency accommodation in April, according to the latest figures from the Department of Housing.
The number of 179 represents a drop of one when compared to last month's report, and the fifth consecutive decrease in the region.
58 adults were without permanent accommodation in Westmeath in April, while that figure is 47 in Offaly, and 28 in Laois.
Of the total number in the midlands, 46 were children.
Nationally however, there's been another record level of people accessing emergency accommodation.
14,009 people were homeless last month, while that figure includes over 4,200 children.
The figures released by the Department of Housing do not include refugees, asylum seekers, women in refuge centres or rough sleepers.
