A local speed limit reduction is being debated on the R400 road from Rhode to Rochfortbridge.
An Offaly councillor who is opposed to the lowering of speed limits on a regional road, thinks motorists should use a common sense approach instead.
A reduction of speed limits on the R400 road between Rhode and Rochfortbridge is currently being discussed by the local authority.
It's been proposed to lower the limit from 80kmh to 60kmh, after works were carried out on the road last December.
