Staffing levels are well below recommended levels in the area which covers the midlands.
Over 4,300 children are now on health service waiting lists for mental health support.
According to HSE data sent to the Irish Independent, 656 children in Health Area CH08, which includes Laois, Westmeath, and Offaly, are currently not able to access services they need.
It comes after an independent review into each of the the country's health areas revealed staffing levels CH08 were well below the recommended levels.
Kerry and Cork had the longest waiting list for CAMHS at 976, followed by East Wicklow and South Dublin at 745.
