The Independent rep for Offaly is warning operators will leave the sector without proper supports.
Operators will leave the pre school sector if they aren't appropriately supported when taking on children with additional needs.
That's the warning from Offaly Independent TD Carol Nolan.
It follows concerns raised by Edenderry Creche owner Caroline Pierce about the lack of support when it comes to children with disabilities or behavioural issues in mainstream settings.
Deputy Nolan believes there is a lack of planning and knowledge about what is happening inside pre schools.
She says supports are needed in order to keep them running:
