The closure is on the Robinson Link Road from April 7th to May 2nd.
A Westmeath link road is being closed for a month to facilitate a residential development.
Westmeath County Council proposed the closure of the Robinson link road in Mullingar from April 7th to May 2nd, as works need to commence on a necessary piece of infrastructure.
Fine Gael Councillor Andrew Duncan claims public representatives were not consulted in advance of the closure.
The project was originally scheduled to take place last summer over a two month period, but the council did not agree to that leading to the one month closure over this easter.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure can be made over the next 13 days.
