One of those is in Laois.
It's "incredible" that the OPW is sitting on 18 vacant properties as the country is in the teeth of a homelessness crisis, according to Meath West TD Peadar Tóibín.
The statement comes as the Office of Public Works confirmed that 18 residential staff properties, including one in Laois, are lying vacant.
The Laois property has been empty for more than a year and the OPW say that the age, condition, and location of the vacant sites make them unsuitable for occupation.
