Conditions are settling down after Storm Brendan tracked across the country earlier.
Almost 300 homes and businesses in the midlands remain without power this evening, after Storm Brendan hit earlier.
The worst affected area is Clara in Offaly, where 240 customers have no electricity; with 40 affected customers in Moate, Westmeath; and 13 in Clonminch in Tullamore.
ESB Networks says crews are working to repair the faults, with an estimated restoration time of 10 o'clock tonight.
While Met Éireann says the worst of the weather event has passed, there are still some reports of debris on roads, including a fallen tree on the N52 in Wetsmeath, between Clonmellon and Delvin.
Motorists across the midlands are advised to take extreme caution.
